On Sunday October 29, 2017, Second Baptist Church of Monclova celebrated its 66th Women’s Day themed “Women Restoring Women Through Jesus Christ our Lord, “ in Psalms 23:3. with guest speaker, Elder Lorea Lewis of Jesus Tabernacle of Deliverance Ministries in Detroit, MI.

Elder Lewis’s message was about the theme explaining that, it meant Covering Me,” i.e. covering one another’s faults until God delivers us. It was based on the story of Noah in Genesis 9: 1-9, who found grace in the sight of God, even though he fell into sin. “And, that is where we get the theme,” she said.

First Lady Debra Boose stated, “It is always a great thing for women to be enriched, rejuvenated, and restored. I believe covering each is a part that enables the restoration process. We often need to reflect on the covering process. We are not perfect as Elder Lewis highlighted in her presentation. And, we all need a bit of support in our down times, before God’s Glory and Grace Uplifts us from our trial and tribulations.”

Sister Lanita Roberts, expressed that, this is her first year participating in women’s day with Second Baptist Church, and she was truly blessed. “The women, the people, the Pastor, all have been very welcoming and loving; I believe the lord was in the midst of all of this, and this has been a blessed day,” she said.

Pastor Dr. Jerry L. Boose said that, he has pastored nine women’s day events, and “This has been one of the most power days that I have been apart of in a long time.”

He felth the message given by Elder Lewis was powerful. And, that by God’s Grace we will re-align ourself with God’s plan as discussed in psalms 23:3,” explained Dr.Boose.
