I think the future holds for me, pretty much the same as with any other President; although I don’t think Trump presents any more options than other Presidents. One thing I don’t trust about him is his business practices, being that he has a lot of lawsuits pending. And even though I don’t have confidence in him, it’s still wait and see what happens. The things he have promised, and still are promising, are what all politicians do; they tell you what you want to hear, and very few deliver on those promises. But a key thing people have to realize is he still has to go through Congress to get approval on what he wants to implement.
First of all, I put my trust in God, not the President; so my future is still good. I think the election of Trump is God’s way of raising us to another level. Now, his 100 day plan that he just released is different, and some may say, revolutionary, such as big tax breaks for people with two or more children, but that’s what he’s saying. He didn’t mention any of that during his campaign; he said the total opposite because some of his supporters are members of the KKK. Still, all of the things Trump is proposing have to get through Congress.
First, my higher power is God, and the President won’t affect my future. Next, I think Trump needs to apologize for all the derogatory statements he made towards so many Americans. His campaign was rooted in racism, and sexism, but me being so driven, and determined, as an African American business woman, I won’t let Trump or any of his supporters, deter me.

I lived through Reagan, and both Bushes, and I don’t have any fear for my future; I work hard for my success. At the end of the day, no matter who’s in office, a man or a woman won’t let that person or their policies stop them from succeeding. Now one thing I do agree with Trump are term limits he suggested in his 30 day plan. No one should hold the same position for a long period of time; they get too accustomed to the power they have. Since that person has been in that position for so long, without fear of losing their job, he or she feels like they can do whatever they want to do. In order for this country to really move forward, we need fresh blood every four to six years. And that’s the belief of an independent thinking person; nor democrat or republican, but an independent thinker.
What the future holds for me, now that Trump has been elected, is what I’ve always done; fight for what’s right for our community. Some of his policies might not affect me, but I’m afraid they will affect my grandchildren. My granddaughters are doing extremely well, and I want them to continue to go as far as they can. I want my granddaughters to break that glass ceiling. So we, as the elders, have to continue to fight for what we believe is right, to make sure our children will succeed. So, no matter who’s in the office, I will continue to fight for what’s right.

First, I’m a supporter of the Commander and Chief, no matter who’s in that position. Looking at the entire election from an optimistic standpoint, this is the perfect time for them, women, to ascend to higher positions. We saw Hillary Clinton, who has more experience than President-Elect, Trump, rise to the highest position a person can achieve in our country. Although she didn’t get elected, it proves that women have the ability to reach those goals. We have to take a negative, and turn it into a positive, and help empower those women. Also, Trump admitted he has no political experience, and said he’ll rely on people with the experience to help him. We, particularly women, can use that to their advantage, and get more involved in the political arena. And with the fact Trump is an entrepreneur, business owners can take advantage of that fact, and try to do business with the government. President-Elect Trump, told President Obama he needs all the help he can get, therefore, all people, especially women, in politics, and business, should really take advantage of the fact that Trump is our next President. So I think my future, and everyone, if they take advantage of it, is good.
